The recording feature for calls is available on Android since the beginning of time. However, due to the recent update, the person who is calling is now notified that the call has been recorded. But, this isn’t the goal of recording calls in certain instances. For instance, could the other person in the conversation now pretend to be lying since she’s recording to prove her point? This is why you can record your calls using Android and not let the other party not knowing.

1. Use OEM Dailer App

Although the adoption is available only within Google Phone, and the Google Phone app, many OEMs such as OnePlus, Oppo, etc. use the same feature as the default dialer app. But, there are several OEMs such as Samsung that prefer their own dialer application. If your phone is equipped with its own dialer application, however, it won’t notify to the other party during the phone.

If you’re not certain whether your dialer application originates from Google or OEM you can simply press the long button on the dialer application and choose the App Info option.

On the page for app, details Scroll down to select the App Details selection. It will redirect users to the dialer application available on the Play Store, where you will be able to locate the app’s developer under their name.

In the event that your App Information option appears greyed out, it’s most likely an OEM dial-in application.

2. Use a Third-Party Dailer App

If your phone is running an app called the Google Phone app, the most effective way to block call recording alerts is to install an external dialer that is available from the Play Store. There are numerous third-party dialer apps available but my recommendation would consist of that of the True Phone Dailer app and the Drupe Dailer app. While the latter is a standard dialer app with call recording capabilities while Drupe is feature-rich with options such as call reminders or making notes during calls, and it integrates with other apps, such as WhatsApp, Duo, Telegram as well as email, among others.

Once you have downloaded the app, you must configure the app to be the default phone dialer application. Follow the setup procedure or go to the Settings menu, then Apps and settings. Select Phone app > Default apps and select it as the primary phone app.

The option to record calls is not available as a default feature in the True Phone Dailer app. In order to enable this feature, start the application and then click on the three dots in the lower right corner. pick the Settings option.

On the True Phone Settings page, choose Incoming/Outgoing Calls and then choose”Record Call” from the drop-down menu. Recording option.

Make sure you enable the switch beside the Enable Call Recording option. Now, whenever you’re on a phone, you’ll be able to see the Record tile appearing on your dialer’s screen.

Truecaller was designed to determine who’s making calls before you call. They do however offer an entire dialer that also allows call recording. Simply download and install Truecaller from the Play Store and then set it as your default phone application.

The recording feature for calls is turned on by default, however, you must allow certain permissions in order for it to function. To grant permission, start Truecaller and click on the hamburger menu located in the upper right corner. Select the Call Recordings option from the menu.

On the next screen, you can tap the “Set up Now button to enable call recording.

Then, grant storage and access permissions to record phone calls, and then save the recordings onto your device.

You’ve successfully enabled the call recording feature on Truecaller.

If you prefer using Google’s phone application and you want to just have the notifications stopped, try an app for recording from a third party instead of the built-in app. Automatic Call Recorder by Appliqato is an excellent choice. Download this Automatic Call Recorder app from Play Store and open it. Then complete the setup by granting the required permissions.

All calls are recorded in default, with no intervention from your side. However, you can change the settings of the app to record calls only from certain contacts rather than all contacts. To do this, click the More tab and choose Settings.

On the Settings page, click on the recording mode, then turn off recording contacts.

Now, you can use Contacts to record, and choose the contacts you wish to record, without their knowledge. Additionally, it has Contacts to Ignore that acts as a white list. All calls are recorded automatically and there is no option to stop or start recording during the phone call.

5. Use the Google Phone app With TTSLexx Installed

Another method of recording calls making calls using Google Phone is through the TTSLexx application. Alert messages are broadcast by Google’s text-to-speech service. On Android, you can turn off the Google text-to-speech service over to third-party applications. With the TTSLex application, you’re basically turning off the text-to-speech service.

Install the TTSLexx application on the Play Store. Open System Settings > Language & input > Text-to-speech output.

Then, tap on the preferred engine option, and then select TTSLexx.
